Nachlaot is a charming old area of Jerusalem, a cluster of small Jewish neighbourhoods, near the Mahane Yehuda market, in central Jerusalem, built by Sir Moses Montefiore in 1882. Nachlaot is known for its narrow, winding lanes, old style housing, hidden courtyards and an abundance of small synagogues.
